Alicia Machado was born Yoseph Alicia Machado in Maracay Venezuela on 6 December 1976. Alicia comes from a variety of backgrounds. Her mother and father are both from Cuban descendance. Through her entire life she's left a significant mark in the world of beauty shows, television, and the film industry. Machado's fame started when she was named Miss Venezuela in 1995 at the age of 19, from the country of Yaracuy. One year later she became fourth Venezuelan woman to win Miss Universe 1996.
