Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born August 25, 1949) is an American TV chef personality. Burrell was also an instructor for the Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of her own Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network star with her trademark long, blonde hair with a pumped up personality reveals easy techniques to master and reduces the fear of eating at restaurants in her series Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell has worked and studied in the best New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the culinary landscape of Italy. Growing up in the Upstate New York area, Chef Burrell discovered a love of cooking and food from a young age. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her following her graduation with an Associate of Arts degree in English and Communications at Canisius College Buffalo NY. I was awed by every minute that I was a student of The Culinary Institute of America she states. I could not learn or do enough. When I graduated of the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy doing research and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. In her time in Italy she came to comprehend and appreciate the philosophies behind Italian culinary and cultural traditions that has had a profound impact on her culinary viewpoint. Burrell was the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board members, which strives to increase the quality of life for kids who are facing difficulties. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation celebrity spokesperson and promotes awareness about children's diabetes. In her capacity as a guest speaker and mentor she travels across the US to talk about her culinary passion and professional career. Anne in all her experience in the kitchen, has declared that it is a privilege to be able to share this passion for the food industry with people.
