Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko competes as Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter in the UFC's flyweight division. She is the elder sister of the fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as a Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the event and beat Suzane Milliner in a unanimous vote. Antonina continued her career by winning a silver and bronze medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, and a gold medal in the year 2011, along with the title of year-end 2016 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Antonia launched her professional career at the age of 23 in 2003. She has won several titles including the K-1 World Champion, the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships as well as the WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina was the last time she fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas in The Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won via unanimous verdict. Antonina Schevchenko started the professional phase of her MMA professional career back in the year 2002 with a win over Anara Baanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She won with a TKO during the 2nd round and was able to take home two fights following, both at WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. It gave her the record of 3-0 in MMA. Shevchenko stopped her involvement in MMA to focus on boxing. She returned to fight Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa in an unanimous decision. She was able to knock out Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 following the departure of the league. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's superior strike skills let her TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. Antonina took the UFC invitation following her win. Antonina was given an UFC contract following her win. Shevchenko was victorious in the unanimous decision, but lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi on a split decision. Antonina recovered from her defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the prize of the night in the fight. Shevchenko went 1-2 during her subsequent three bouts beating Ariane Lipski before losing to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee. Then, Antonina fell to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos vs. Walker via second-round TKO.
